Good News- Bad News February 1, 2010 Peter A. Ripin (Metro Boston, MA) Good News: The caviar is de-lish and it was a 12 oz. jar (not 10 oz.). A rich texture and bright taste. Bad News: I was quite disappointed at the $16+ shipping charge for 3-5 day very which I think is quite excessive. The shipping cost was more than the item.
Black Capelin Caviar May 26, 2009 Michelle Sinclair (Sand Springs, OK United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love caviar and I've had some of the best and worst. This is one of the best and for the price it really can't be beat. The roe is small, has a very fresh taste, not too salty and has a perfect 'snap'. Great for everyday and special occasions.
Mixed feelings... January 11, 2009 Daniel J. Conlin (Arizona) I thought it was a bit on the "fishy" side, but my wife (her x-mas present) loved it, and if anything, she is hyper-sensitive about freshness with seafood. I'd buy it again, especially considering the price.
Inexpensive caviar January 11, 2009 Laurence Penman (USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was an inexpensive luxury, but not of course, to be compared with the real thing .... which would have cost a great deal more.
My wife and I thought it good value - we did not expect it to taste like real caviar - and we will probably buy some similar products from the same company.

Well it tastes pretty good. I agree. But I was disapointed when none of mine hatched. I dumped a clump of them into my 10 gallon tank and waited..And waited. But nothing. Then I figured out teh problem was they weren't fertilized so I fertilized the eggs I had left, put those into the tanks and still no luck. So, 1 star for the taste.
